Industry Expectations 4.0 discussed at a webinar organized by Amity University

A webinar on ‘Industry Expectations 4.0’ was conducted by Mr. Rohan Madaan, Catastrophe Modeller and Global Shaper, World Economic Forum who shared how this pandemic has caused a catastrophe across the globe and stationed and stopped and brought everything to a standstill. “Industry expectations have changed completely to what we knew off. People are still not able to think of reskilling as they are in depression because of the pandemic. Skills that people work upon during this time will help them succeed in the future,” said Mr. Madaan. He further added how degrees and skills will only be considered as per the business model’s needs. “Live experience and more practice; critical thinking skills/ social skills; adaptability; resilience, grit & passion; service attitude and a balance of Emotional Quotient (EQ) & Adversity Quotient (AQ) leading to higher  Productivity Quotient (PQ) will cater to the market needs post corona,” shared Mr. Madaan. He asked students to focus on industries about what they are looking for and brush up their knowledge not just theoretically but also talking to the experts and the faculty. “The future is not about the jobs any more, it would be about the skills and skiling,” added Mr. Madaan.

It was also stated how research will play a crucial role in the market and the rise of digital will redefine the businesses in the future. “Reinvent/Reskill your way out as time is now to stay consistent. Work on your data skills; digital marketing; problem solving/ consulting and artificial intelligence,” said Mr. Madaan. He also added that data is the new oil that cannot be ignored and post the pandemic maximum jobs will be there in the data segment.

A webinar on the topic ‘Stop-Look-Proceed’ was conducted by Ms. Preeti Jain, Freelancer Life and Wellness Coach. She shared how self-limiting beliefs are weapons of self-destruction created unconsciously in our lives. “We need to identify the limiting beliefs in our lives by asking the right questions,” shared Ms. Jain. Beliefs are the invisible force that drives us to our vision and goals. One right question can take the class in the right and creative direction in education, stated Ms. Jain. She shared some important and healthy questions one should ask themselves including how do I choose to live my life; my life is driven by fear or curiosity; is my energy levels always on the higher side; do I have control over my emotions and my responses; what will happen to my life after five years if things remain the same? And if again the same then how will it be after 10 years and What amazing things will I get if I start taking desired action now?

“The best way to enjoy life and to find answers to these questions is to do it in the present time and do state (neuro-physiological) management that decides our behavior and our response. It comprises of internal representation and physiology,” said Ms. Jain. She also asked the students to take charge of their lives and be resourceful.
