SESSION ON CIVIL DEFENCE
A session on Civil Defence was organized on 27th May 2025 in the Auditorium B Block AUMP with the objective of raising awareness about the importance of civil defence measures, preparedness for emergencies and directions for first responders.
The session was conducted by Mr Kaushal Sharma, Platoon Commander, Home Guards and his team.
After a formal welcome of the Guest by the Honble Pro Chancellor and Honble Vice Chancellor, Mr Kaushal gave a ppt presentation and Hands-on demonstration of CPR, moving of the injured and fire extinguisher use.
Mr Sharma emphasized the importance of planning and preparedness for emergencies like fire, air raid, cardiac arrest, injury etc.
The lively and interactive session was attended by students from NCC, NSS and Hostels.
Also present on the occasion were the Honble Pro Chancellor, Honble Vice Chancellor, Pro Vice Chancellor R, Dir Hostels, NSS and NCC coordinators, HoIs and Faculty members.
The session was well-received, with participants expressing appreciation for the practical knowledge and confidence they gained in handling emergencies and a large number ofstudents are presently registering as volunteers.
