The programme aimed to foster innovation and entrepreneurial thinking among students and faculty by integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools into research and development, thereby encouraging practical solutions to real-world challenges in pharmacy and healthcare.
Objectives
- To provide insights into the role of Artificial Intelligence in advancing pharmaceutical research, development, and healthcare innovation.
- To encourage students to identify real-world problems in pharmacy and healthcare and propose AI-driven solutions through creative platforms like videos and posters.
- To nurture innovation and entrepreneurship by offering early exposure to incubation and accelerator opportunities for students and faculty.
- To align academic learning with global priorities, particularly the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 9: Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure).
- To develop critical thinking, creativity, and practical skills among students, enabling them to translate ideas into impactful solutions for society
The event began with a guest lecture delivered by Dr. Neeti Jain, Scientist ‘F’, DRDE Gwalior, on the theme “Empowering Innovation: Intelligent Integration of AI Tools in Research and Development.” The lecture emphasized how AI technologies can accelerate drug discovery, improve research efficiency, and foster innovative healthcare solutions. Following this, a Student Competition was conducted on the theme “Real-World Problems in Pharmacy & Healthcare: AI-Based Solutions.” Students participated by preparing short videos and digital posters, highlighting problem statements and innovative AI-driven solutions.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. Neeraj Mishra and Dr. Wasim Akram. It was organized under the leadership of Dr. Manoj Kumar Mishra, Director and Principal, and Dr. Mukesh Singh Sikarwar, Deputy Director, serving as Convener and Co-convener, respectively.
