Dr. Maureen McFarland, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, College of Aeronautics and Engineering, Kent State University, visits Amity University

Dr. Maureen McFarland, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, College of Aeronautics and Engineering from Kent State University visited Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida Campus. The aim of her visit was to explore the possibilities for collaboration and interaction with students of Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Electronics and Communication, Mechanical and Défense Technology on Advanced Air Mobility.

 

Dr. Maureen McFarland engaged in discussions with the faculty and Head of Institutions of Amity and the discussions focused around Mechatronics, cybersecurity engineering, robotics, Centre for advanced air mobility and Digital twins.  In addition, she also interacted with the students of Areospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, and Defence Technologies and provided information about the programmes offered by the college of Aeronautics and engineering at Kent State University and a bit about Air Mobility. The students discussed startup opportunities in aerospace and aeronautics, dissertation with KSU, direct PhD after graduation and career opportunities abroad in aeronautics, with Dr. Maureen McFarland.

 

Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor Amity University Uttar Pradesh said that Amity is delighted to welcome Dr. Maureen McFarland and the discussions will lead meaningful collaborations and partnerships. During her visit, Dr. Maureen McFarland took a round of the Amity campus and visited the laboratories, and other facilities. Dr. K.M. Soni, (Dy Dean Engineering & Technology) delivered the Welcome Address on this occasion.
