“Education should be accessible to all”, avers Dr. Jonathan Koppell, President, Montclair State University, New Jersey, at Amity
A high-level delegation from Montclair State University, New Jersey, USA comprising of Dr. Jonathan Koppell, President, Montclair State University and Dr. Kimberly Hollister, Dean, Feliciano School of Business, visited Amity University Noida campus. The aim of the visit was to discuss future collaboration between Montclair University and Amity University.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Jonathan Koppell, President, Montclair State University, New Jersey, averred, “Montclair State University focusses on Skill Development of the students since they need to acquire new skills and upgrade themselves so that they can add value to their education. We believe that education should not be only accessible to the elite, rather, it should be accessible to all the sections of the society, irrespective of their class. It is imperative that each and every individual gets access to education so that they can play an important role in the growth and upliftment of the society. Education is a basic necessity and therefore, it should be provided to all. We would like to collaborate with Amity to fill this gap and make education accessible to all.”
Dr. Kimberly Hollister, Dean, Feliciano School of Business, said, “We are focusing on more industrialization for students of our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Our students work with the students of other Universities on various projects, fostering exchange of knowledge and learning and we would like to have student exchange programmes with Amity University which will be mutually beneficial for students of both Universities.”
Presenting an Overview of the Amity Education Group, Dr. Gurinder Singh, Group Vice Chancellor Amity Universities stated, “We would like to partner with Montclair State University in the areas of joint research initiatives, short term programs such as summer school program, internship, apprenticeship, expansion of dual degrees, collaborations for enhancing global higher education and business school ecosystem. “
The Delegation took a round of the Amity campus, also present on the occasion were the HOIs and senior faculty members of Amity.
