Objective of the Event:
The Design Battle Competition was organized with the objective of encouraging creativity, innovation, and competitive spirit among the students. The event aimed to provide a platform for participants to showcase their design skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities through engaging and challenging activities.
Event Description:
The Design Battle Competition was conducted successfully with enthusiastic participation from undergraduate students of the Fashion Design & Technology & other department. Students prepared Logos of the given theme and Remaking products to promote the upcycling and sustainability, showcasing originality, research, and design aesthetics.
The event was conducted in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – Quality Education (SDG 4), Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8) and Industry Innovation and Infrastructure(SDG 9), thereby strengthening the learning experience with global relevance.
Participation:
  • Total Number of Participants: 17 students
  • Students demonstrated excellent innovative work, creativity, research skills, and design execution.
Outcomes Achieved:
·       Students displayed originality and innovation in both concept development and prototyping.
·       The time-bound challenges encouraged quick thinking, adaptability, and efficiency.
·       The competition highlighted the importance of Innovation and creativity in design processes.
·       Participants effectively utilized available resources, showcasing creativity within limitations.
·       The event served as a platform to bridge theory with practice, linking classroom learning with real-world applications.
·       Identified emerging talent among students who can be groomed for advanced design challenges and competitions.
Recognition:
Winners were awarded exciting prizes. All participants received encouragement and constructive feedback from faculty members.
 
The event successfully met its objectives by promoting awareness of upcycling and sustainability while fostering creative and innovative thinking among students. It was well-received by participants and contributed to enriching the academic environment of the department.
