University of Melbourne Australia and Amity University explore the potential areas of collaboration

A delegation comprising of Professor Paul Mulvaney, Director, ARC Centre of Excellence in Exciton Science, Professor Trevor Smith, Professor of Chemistry, Professor Ken Ghiggino, Emeritus Professor of Chemistry and Ms Ritu Kadian, Senior Country Officer from the University of Melbourne, Australia, visited Amity University Noida campus with an aim to strengthen academic and research collaboration between the University of Melbourne and Amity University by conducting interactive lectures and exploring joint opportunities in education, research, innovation, student and faculty exchange, and executive training.

 

Sharing his views on the occasion, Professor Paul Mulvaney, Director, ARC Centre of Excellence in Exciton Science, remarked, “We are extremely delighted to be present here at Amity University and would like to strengthen our partnership by collaborating in different areas through Joint research projects, publications, and grants, Faculty exchange programs will facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration between faculty members of both universities. In addition, collaborative curriculum development will be helpful in developing industry-relevant programs and enhance student employability of both Universities. In addition, Special training Programs for the researchers can be conducted, which will enhance their knowledge and skills.”

 

Presenting an overview of Amity Education Group, Dr. Gurinder Singh, Group Vice Chancellor Amity Universities, said, “Amity University is committed to providing immense global exposure to its students so that they are well versed with the work culture and environment of different countries and can easily adapt themselves in different scenarios. We would be glad to collaborate with University of Melbourne through Dual Degree, Joint Degree, Joint Research, Student Exchange and Twining Programs.”  

 

The delegation also interacted with the research Scholars and students from Applied Sciences, Engineering & Technology, Click Chemistry, and Forensic Sciences through special lecture Sessions. During the campus tour, the Delegation visited the Central Library, ASCO studio, and research laboratories of Amity and were impressed by its state-of- the -art infrastructure.
