Amity Institute of Pharmacy, Amity University Madhya Pradesh, Gwalior organized “One Day Industrial Visit Program” for final year Students on 17th May 2025. This program is organised by the Amity Institute of Pharmacy, Amity University Madhya Pradesh, Gwalior.
The program was held at Deft Organics Limited, Malanpur, Bhind, Madhya Pradesh. This program was planned and coordinated by Mr. Kapil Gupta, Associate Professor, Amity Institute of Pharmacy and Ms. Ankita Kishore, Associate Professor under the guidance of Prof (Dr.) Manoj Kumar Mishra, Director, Amity Institute of Pharmacy, Amity University MP. 19 students from B. Pharm, final year have actively participated.
The visit commenced with a ceremonial welcome and mutual introduction of AIP students and staff with team of various Departments of Deft Organics Ltd. Then after the students were escorted with team members of deft organics to various departments of the organisation namely API Production, PFS production, QA/QC, warehouse, Mr. Ashwani Pathak.
(HR Head) and so on in between there were several sessions of interactions Q&A with the SME of the plant. Towards the end the souvenir and sweets were offered towards the team members of the organisation from AIP side as a gesture of thanks for providing their valuable support and precious time. Students were also offered with snacks from the organisation side.
Aim & Objective of the Program:
The Aim of the event was -
Ø To bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world industrial practices by providing final year students with firsthand exposure to the pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, particularly in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and Water for Injection (WFI) systems.
The Objectives of the event were -
§ Observe the end-to-end process of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) production.
§ Understand the generation, storage, and distribution of Water for Injection (WFI).
§ Learn about compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Quality Control (QC) standards.
§ Gain awareness of industrial safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
§ Correlate theoretical knowledge with practical pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
§ Improve observation, analytical, and professional skills through industrial exposure.
Details of the Programme
On May 17th, 2025, Amity Institute of Pharmacy (AIP), Amity University Madhya Pradesh, Gwalior, conducted a "One Day Industrial Visit Program" specifically for its final-year Bachelor of Pharmacy students. This initiative was meticulously planned and coordinated by Mr. Kapil Gupta and Ms. Ankita Kishore, both Associate Professors at AIP, under the expert guidance of Professor (Dr.) Manoj Kumar Mishra, the Director of Amity Institute of Pharmacy, Amity University MP. A total of 19 students from the final year of the B. Pharm program actively participated in this educational excursion.
The program took place at Deft Organics Limited, situated in Malanpur, Bhind, Madhya Pradesh. Upon arrival, the AIP students and faculty were formally welcomed, followed by mutual introductions with the staff members from various departments within Deft Organics Ltd. Subsequently, guided by Deft Organics personnel, the students were taken on a comprehensive tour of the organization's key operational areas, including API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) Production, PFS (Pre-Filled Syringes) production, Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) laboratories, and the warehouse facilities. Throughout the visit, Mr. Ashwani Pathak, the HR Head, was also involved. Importantly, the itinerary included several interactive sessions where students had the opportunity to engage in Question & Answer sessions with the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from the plant, facilitating a deeper understanding of the industrial processes.
Towards the conclusion of the visit, as a token of appreciation for the valuable support and time provided by the Deft Organics team, souvenirs and sweets were presented to them by the representatives from AIP. The students were also generously offered refreshments by Deft Organics. This industrial visit aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, providing the pharmacy students with firsthand exposure to pharmaceutical manufacturing and quality control processes.
