Intra-Institutional Startup Competition

Amity Business School (ABS in collaboration with the Institution's Innovation Council, hosted a prestigious startup Competition.
 
In the event, Students from ABS, AIP (Pharmacy), and ALS (Law), AUMP   students who have an aspiration for becoming entrepreneurs and future innovators, participated in the event. The event served as a platform for showcasing their talents towards innovative Startup ideas, fostering a culture of entrepreneurship and creativity to enhance the Entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Under the guidance of Prof.Dr. Navita Nathani (Offg. HOI) ABS AUMP, the Startup competition was introduced to foster innovation and entrepreneurship skills among students. Various teams from different classes participated, presenting their innovative Startup plan ideas and strategies.
 
The Startup competition provided a platform for entrepreneurial skill development where Judges evaluated the proposals based on criteria such asfeasibility study, market potential, and innovation. etc. Winners were awarded prizes: 1st prize, Priyanka Kushwah, Ish Sharma, Tushar Dewani, Ayurteen Team Gwalior, A Holistic Healthcare Brand,2nd prize by Riddhi Uppal, MBA, Jain College Gwalior, Idea - Phulkaree - A customized gift hamper brand.3rd prize by Pavaki Saluja, Palak Kapoor, Vanisha Mangtani, Shivangani Tomar, BBA 5th Sem, Idea - Safira (Women Safety Gloves), and recognition for their outstanding efforts. Overall, the Startup Competition played a pivotal role in promoting entrepreneurial spirit within the academic community, with special reference to promoting startups.

 

Objectives of the Startup Plan Competition:

 

The objective of a Startup plan competition using the theme as per the Yukti model typically includes:

1. Encouraging individual students to develop innovative Startup ideas and foster an entrepreneurial mindset.

2. Providing Students a platform to learn about the various aspects of starting and running a Startup, such as market research, financial planning, and marketing strategies.

3. Offering participants the opportunity to receive constructive feedback on their Startup ideas and plans from judges and peers, helping them refine their concepts and strategies.

4. Encouraging students or employees to think innovatively and develop entrepreneurial skills.

5. Providing a platform for participants to showcase their Startup ideas and receive constructive feedback.

6. Recognizing and rewarding promising Startup ideas, concepts, and plans, which can provide validation and credibility to participants.

7.   Encouraging the development of innovative solutions to address market needs or societal challenges.

  7. These events help foster an entrepreneurial culture within Amity Startup School, encouraging students to pursue their Startup ideas and innovate to do their startups.
  8. Observing the valuable learning environment where overall all experiences that participants to adapt and improve their approaches to doing a startup.

 

Outcome-:

  1. The Startup Plan Competition culminated in the recognition of exceptional talent and promising Startup ideas.
  2. Winners were awarded prizes, opportunities, and amity innovation incubation support to further develop their ventures.
