AIM
The aim of World Pharmacists Day is to celebrate and advocate for the crucial role of pharmacists globally. The celebration raises awareness of their contributions to ensuring safe, effective medicine use and improving health outcomes in all communities.
 
Objectives
·    To recognize and celebrate the invaluable contributions of pharmacists to global health.
·    To promote and advocate for the pharmacist's essential role in improving health outcomes.
·    To raise public awareness about the safe and effective use of medicines.
·    To encourage the full integration of pharmacists into national and local health strategies.

The event began with Saraswati Vandana followed by welcome address of Deputy Director, Prof Dr. Mukesh Singh Sikarwar. The guest lecture delivered by Dr. Rahul Kumar Gupta, Asso. Prof., Dept. of Dravyaguna & Govt. Analyst & Head (DTL Gwalior) on the topicKnowledge and Importance of Quality Parameters of Ayurvedic  Drugs.” The lecture emphasized the necessity of ensuring the safety, efficacy, purity, and consistency of traditional Ayurvedic medicines in the contemporary pharmaceutical landscape. It bridges the gap between classical Ayurvedic principles and modern analytical science. A Rangoli competition was conducted on the theme Think Health, Think Pharmacist”and working model exhibition was showcased. The evening session of the program was initiated by Mr. Tanuj Upadhyay, Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs Executive, Syrma Johari Medtech Limited via Online Alumni-Guest Lecture on “Pharma Start-ups and cGMP: Bridging Innovation with Compliance. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Vikas Pandey, Dr. Jovita Kanoujia, Dr. Rajeev Sharma, and Ms. Ankita Kishore. It was organized under the leadership of Dr. Manoj Kumar Mishra, Director and Principal, and Dr. Mukesh Singh Sikarwar, Deputy Director, serving as Convener and Co-convener, respectively. The program was aligned with SDG-3 (Good Health and Well-Being), SDG-4 (Quality Education) and  SDG-9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure). The program was also supported by Amity Innovation Incubator cell.
The winners of rangoli competition was as follows: 1st prize was given to Jaya Devi and Kumari Achal (B.Pharm-1st Sem), 2nd prize was given to Tanushka Agarwal and Rahul Gupta (M.Pharm-Pharmacolocy-1st sem) and 3rd prize was given to Apurvi Misra and Divya Yadav (M.Pharm-Pharmaceutics-1st sem).
