General Introduction of the Event. Anti-Ragging Day is an important observance aimed at raising awareness about the harmful effects of ragging and promoting a culture of respect and safety in educational institutions. This day serves as a reminder of the commitment to creating a ragging-free environment where students can pursue their education without fear or intimidation
 
1.9 Objectives of the Event
  •  The primary objective of the event was to educate students, faculty, and staff about the dangers of ragging, its negative impact on individuals, and the legal consequences associated with it.
  • To encourage the development of a campus culture where every student feels safe, respected, and free from any form of harassment or intimidation.
  • To motivate the entire academic community, including students, faculty, and staff, to actively participate in anti-ragging initiatives and to be vigilant in preventing such behavior.
  • To promote values of inclusivity, respect, and empathy among students, ensuring a welcoming environment for all, regardless of their background or identity.

2.     Event Report along with glimpses of the event(Photographs)
 
 
1.    As part of the Anti-Ragging Week, Prof. (Dr.) Novrattan Sharma, Director, Amity Institute of Behavioral and Allied Sciences (AIBAS) and Director Anti-Ragging, conducted an interactive session with freshers during their orientation programme. During the session, Dr. Sharma emphasized the importance of discipline, respect, and empathy in student life. To strengthen the message, he showcased a series of short films highlighting the menace of ragging, its psychological impact, and the legal consequences associated with it. The initiative helped freshers to understand the gravity of the issue and encouraged them to contribute towards maintaining a ragging-free campus.
 
2.    Anti-Ragging Activity by Amity Business School: On 18th August 2025, Amity Business School organized an Anti-Ragging Activity for the students of D Block. The session provided a platform for students to express their views on anti-ragging and the importance of creating a healthy environment in the University. The students of B.Com and MBA participated enthusiastically, sharing speeches on discipline, respect, and inclusivity. The event was successfully organized and coordinated by Dr. Rajiv Dwivedi, Associate Dean Student Welfare, Amity University Madhya Pradesh.
 
3.  Anti-Ragging Skit by Amity Law School: Amity Law School organized an Anti-Ragging Awareness Session that featured a thought-provoking skit by its students. The program commenced with a welcome address by Major General Rajinder Kumar, AVSM, SM, VSM (Retd.), Director, Amity Law School, who highlighted the importance of discipline, mutual respect, and the University’s zero-tolerance policy towards ragging. The skit used impactful performances, humor, and emotional storytelling to depict the severe psychological and academic consequences of ragging, spreading the strong message that ragging in any form is unacceptable. The event concluded with a group photograph of the Director, faculty members, and participants, marking a successful session.
 
4.  Poster Making Competition by Amity Institute of Biotechnology: As part of the Anti-Ragging Week celebrations, Amity Institute of Biotechnology organized a Poster Making Competition on the theme ‘Say No to Ragging’ on 18th August 2025 at Block B. A total of 23 teams participated, showcasing their creativity and strong stance against ragging. Winners were felicitated by Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor Lt. Gen. V.K. Sharma (Retd.), Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. R.S. Tomar, and Hon’ble Pro Vice Chancellor (Research) Prof. Dr. M.P. Kaushik. Selected posters were also displayed on the noticeboards to continue spreading awareness.
 
5.    Awareness Program by Amity School of Engineering & Technology: On 18th August 2025, Amity School of Engineering & Technology (ASET) conducted an Anti-Ragging Awareness Program at the Seminar Hall, Block E, which was attended by around 250 students of III Semester. The program included speeches, extempore, singing performances, and a skit, all centered on raising awareness about the psychological, social, and legal consequences of ragging. The event concluded with an Anti-Ragging Pledge taken by students and faculty members, reinforcing the collective commitment towards a ragging-free campus. The program was coordinated by Dr. Alok Jain, Dr. Rinkoo Bhatia, and Dr. Nasir Khan, with co-coordinators Dr. Narendra Kumar Garg and Dr. Ajay Kumar Dadoria.
