General Introduction of the Event. The Amity School of Communication (ASCO), in collaboration with AURA – Amity Cultural Club, organized an engaging Open Mic Competition as part of Amity’s Innovation Week celebrations. The event served as a vibrant platform for students to showcase their creativity, talent, and originality through spoken word, poetry, music, stand-up, and other unique performances. Bringing together innovation with artistic expression, the open mic not only encouraged students to think outside the box but also highlighted the spirit of freedom, diversity, and cultural vibrancy at Amity University.
1.8 Objectives of the Event
· To provide a creative platform for students to express their ideas, thoughts, and emotions through various art forms such as poetry, music, storytelling, and stand-up.
· To encourage innovation and originality in artistic expression as a part of Amity’s Innovation Week.
· To promote cultural engagement and inclusivity by bringing together students from diverse backgrounds to share their perspectives.
· To enhance confidence and communication skills among students by performing before a live audience.
· To foster a vibrant campus culture that blends creativity with intellectual growth, in line with Amity’s vision of holistic education.

The program was gracefully anchored by Ashansa and Aditi, who kept the audience engaged with their enthusiasm and energy. The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Kshitij Rana and Dr. Ranjan Kumar as the Chief Guests, whose encouragement and support added significance to the occasion.
The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across different streams of Amity University. Participants came forward with soulful poetry, captivating storytelling, melodious singing, musical performances, and thought-provoking poem recitals. Each performance was marked by originality, creativity, and confidence, making the event a true celebration of artistic innovation.
The open mic stage not only encouraged students to share their voices and perspectives but also created an environment of inclusivity, cultural exchange, and vibrant energy on campus. The audience actively engaged with the performers, making the event interactive and memorable.
Through this initiative, ASCO and AURA successfully blended the spirit of innovation with cultural expression, reinforcing Amity University’s vision of holistic development and fostering creativity among students.
The highlight of the event was the recognition of outstanding talent.
· The First Prize was awarded to Manvendra for his mesmerizing singing and piano performance.
· The Second Prize went to Aditi Moolchandani for her impactful poem recital.
· The Third Prize was secured by Lalit for his expressive poetry performance.
Outcomes of Anti-Ragging Week
· Enhanced Student Confidence – Participants gained stage exposure, which improved their public speaking, presentation, and performance skills.
