General Introduction of the Event
Amity School of Communication, Amity University Madhya Pradesh organized an expert talk and workshop under Podcast Festival 1.0 on the theme “The Voices of Change: Exploring Stories through Stories” to observe International Podcast Day on 30th September 2025.
The event began with a welcome address by Dr. Aaditya Kumar Shukla, Head of the Institute, Amity School of Communication, who emphasized the growing significance of podcasts in today’s media landscape.
The expert speaker, Mrs. Shalini Kapoor Tiwari, a renowned communication professional, digital creator, author, and podcast host with over 15 years of experience in the media industry, shared valuable insights on storytelling through sound, the creative process of podcast production, and the importance of authentic voices in shaping impactful narratives.
The festival included:
• Engaging interactive workshop sessions featuring tips and hands-on tasks on podcast creation, recording, and editing.
• Live demonstrations of podcasting tools, techniques, and formats.
• Participant-led activities encouraging idea-sharing, collaboration, and creative storytelling.
The festival witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and media enthusiasts. A total of 75 participants registered for the event, including student anchors, radio team members, and budding podcasters from different departments.
Podcast Festival 1.0 successfully achieved its objectives of celebrating voices that inspire change and promoting podcasting as a dynamic storytelling platform. The event reinforced the importance of innovative communication practices and encouraged students to use their voices to create meaningful social impact. The session concluded with Dr. Aaditya Kumar Shukla, Head of Institution, presenting a token of appreciation to Mrs. Shalini Kapoor Tiwari, followed by a vote of thanks, marking the successful completion of the event.
 
Objectives of the Event
·      To provide participants with hands-on learning experiences in podcast creation, storytelling techniques, and voice presentation.
·      To encourage students to explore podcasting for social awareness and positive change, fostering innovative communication practices.
