The Whack-Hack-A-Thon

Prof. (Dr.) Manju Kaushik awarding 1st Winner Mr. Vikas Goyal with cash prize of Rs 2500.

 The IEEE Student Branch AUR SBI 11749, in association with ACM Student Chapter, Amity University Rajasthan, organized the "Whack HACK–A-THON 2023", an online hackathon event held on 6th and 7th April 2023. The event aimed to identify the top programmers and problem solvers in the community, providing them with an opportunity to showcase their talent and win awards and e-certificates.

The participants were judged based on the number of questions solved and the time taken to solve each question.

 

The event started on 6th April with a traditional Lamp Lighting ceremony to pay tribute to the Goddess of wisdom. Prof. (Dr.) Manju Kaushik, Branch counsellor IEEE-ACM, Amity University Rajasthan, re-launched the IEEE AUR website and briefed about the event.

 

Ms. Aakriti Goyal, Chairperson IEEE Student Branch AUR explained the rules and assessment   criteria. The first round was the aptitude round and the second  was the debugging round. The last and final round was Coding (on Code Chef).

 

The Valedictory Function on 7th April announced the winners of the Whack HACK– A- THON. Prof Kaushik announced the winners of the three-round competition. The first prize of 2500 was awarded to Mr.  Vikas Goyal, followed by the second prize of 2100 to Miss.  Ridhi Wats and the third prize of 1500 to Mr.  Himanshu Panwar.  Besides, two runners-up Mr. Aditya Raj Singh and Mr.Bharat Singh Bhati received a prize of 500 each. The event not only served as a platform for healthy competition, but also as a source of motivation and inspiration for everyone involved.

 

The event concluded with distribution of certificates. The organizers thanked all the participants, dignitaries, and the Amity administration for their support in  organization  the event.
