The alumni session on Impact of Financial Liberalization on Economic Growth and Development aimed to introduce the participants about the impact of deregulation of financial markets on global economy. It tried to understand how financial liberalization enhances resource allocations, fosters competition, and attracts foreign capital that helps to stimulate investment, productivity, and innovation.

The session begins with the welcome of alumna, Ananya Joshi by Dr. Shakir Hussain Malik. Ananya starts the session with her academia journey from Amity University Rajasthan to Elizabeth School of London. She then discusses on the how financial deregulation accelerate economic growth in stable and well-regulated environments.

The address was followed by an Interactive question-answer session where 4-5 questions were asked from the faculties and students. The session ended with a vote of thanks.

As an outcome, participants gained a deeper understanding of the impact of financial liberalization on economic growth and development. The session engages both alumna and students to exchange each other’s views about Indian academia and academic challenges abroad, besides discussing about the challenges faced by some developing economies in deregulating the financial markets.
