As part of an academic program and experiential learning, Amity Business School, Amity University Maharashtra have conducted Industrial Visit at Jindal Stainless Steelway Limited, Rasayani, Raigad on 6th February 2020. All B.Com (Honors) students of (Sem – II, Sem – IV and Sem – VI) participated in Industrial Visit. Details about learning outcome is as under;
On 6th February 2020 (Thursday) we reached at 11.00am at JINDAL STAINLESS STEELWAY LIMITED, Rasayani Plant. The company officials Mr. Dhaaval Mehta (Plant Head) accommodated our students in conference hall and made detail presentation of all parent companies along with their working area and capacity. Students have gone through detail learning process step-by-step for stainless steel manufacturing. At JSSL Plant Rasayani having turnover of 1000 to 1500 tonnes. The unit is basically fabrication unit and manufacturing stainless steel product for Indian and International Exports from same plant.
After detail presentation, students have visited Industrial Plant Shed where different activities and department explained very well starting from receiving raw-material, Inventory store and different processes. Students also learnt about Fire-Safety and Industrial Utility Generator at end of session.
The interactive session between students and representative remained very knowledgeable. It provides, details about importance of stainless steel, production of stainless steel, fabrication of stainless steel, products and customers, market of stainless steel in India and Globally. At end of session, the company provided snacks and tea to all students.
