Amity University embraced with the visit of High-power Delegation from University of Ottawa visiting Amity University Mumbai campus on 20th May 2022. This Delegation witnessed a success in promoting education beyond boundaries that imparts knowledge to foster innovative leaders with strong ethical values & collaborated research efforts.
The event commenced with a formal and the traditional welcomed with garlands and Kumkum by the students with Dr Hira Vyas, Registrar AUM, Dr Shrikant Charhate, Dean Academics & Director Amity School of Engineering and Technology Mumbai with Dr Gautam Gawali, Dean Student Welfare & Director of Amity Institute of Behavioural and Allied Sciences, Dr Bhawna Sharma Nodal Officer of International Programs and Off. Director along with the Mr Narendra Bandabe, Director Media. Followed by Interactive Knowledge sharing meeting with the Foreign Guests. In the address by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Amity University Maharashtra, Dr. A.W. Santhosh Kumar shared the key success imperatives of Amity Mumbai Campus.
The programme continued with the special address from Toronto by Dr Gurinder Singh, Group VC followed by the detailed interaction on Academic initiatives of AUM Academics by Dr Shrikant Charhate, Dean Academics. An Outline on AIBAS Psychology Programs were shared by Dr Gautam Gawali, Dean Student Welfare. Success Stories of International Programmes of Amity Campus were discussed with the delegation by Dr Bhawna Sharma, Nodal Officer International Programs.
Prof. Jacques Fremont, President and Vice Chancellor of the University of Ottawa has discussed about the Opportunities prevalent at university of Ottawa for Amitians. Talks were very detailed on space research & scientific collaborations, Bilateral connects followed by student exchange & scholarship programs for Study Abroad Initiatives.
The event concluded with the Felicitations of Guests and blessings of Hon’ble Chancellor and President of AUM, Dr Aseem K Chauhan and also with the blessing of Hon’ble Founder President Sir Dr Ashok K Chauhan
This visit proves to be a enriching & promising for much awaited academic collaborations in Canada with University of Ottawa and Amity University India. This opens the avenues for cross orders Opportunities for Amity Campuses. The aim of this visit was to exchange ideas, values, and culture amongst the youth of parenting countries. It proved to be a wonderful opportunity for students of both the Universities & Nation to understand & value each other’s culture, tradition, and heritage which had enabled us to enrich the knowledge with collaborative research to be conducted at both the Institutions.
