The Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) at Amity University serves as the guardian of integrity, transparency, and ethical governance within the institution. The CVO ensures that the university’s operations—both academic and administrative—adhere to the highest standards of honesty, fairness, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promoting Integrity and Transparency:
- Upholding honesty and ethical practices across all university functions.
- Ensuring that policies and procedures are implemented with fairness and transparency.
- Preventing Malpractices:
- Identifying and addressing potential risks of unethical behavior or misconduct.
- Monitoring adherence to institutional and regulatory guidelines to prevent corruption or irregularities.
- Handling Complaints and Vigilance Cases:
- Receiving and investigating complaints related to unethical practices or administrative lapses.
- Ensuring impartial action in accordance with university policies and legal norms.
- Creating an Ethical Culture:
- Encouraging students, faculty, and staff to uphold integrity in all academic and administrative activities.
- Organizing awareness initiatives and workshops to foster a culture of vigilance and responsibility.
- Collaboration for Good Governance:
- Coordinating with various departments to strengthen internal controls.
- Supporting the management in establishing a clean, efficient, and accountable system of administration.
