Amity University Jharkhand organized a Speech Competition ‘LEND ME YOUR EARS’

 A speech competition entitled ‘Lend Me you Ears’ was organised on 11th April, 2019 by Literary and Debating Committee of AUJ, at Seminar Hall Campus 3.The event started-off with the inspirational speech of respected Director Sir, Dr. Ajit Kumar Pandey. In his morale –booster to the audience he said, ‘Let the heart Speak, not the mind!’

Thereafter, the students were privileged to have witnessed a short session by Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Sir on the art of public- speaking. In his speech he reflected on the need to be your ownself and to sieve out impurities and maintain the purity of thought.

 A total of seventeen students participated in the event and spoke on various topics of social relevance such as Acid-Attacks, Female-Foeticide, Medical Negligence, Illiteracy, Poverty, Freedom, Mob-Lynching etc. The audience was mesmerised by the power of words and appreciated the speakers whole-heartedly.

Zovaria Rahman of BBA Sem 4 was declared the winner, followed by Nandini (BBA Sem 2) who stood second and Md.Yusuf Iqbal (BBA sem 2) who stood third. The winners were given mementos and certificates were given to all the participants. The committee hopes to organise such programmes in the future and make the students well-groomed in the art of public speaking.
