Amity University Mumbai conferred honorary doctorates to distinguished industry leaders including Nand Khemka, Romal Shetty, and Yann Leroy during its 2025 convocation ceremony.
In a grand celebration of academic excellence and societal contribution, Amity University Mumbai hosted its Convocation Ceremony for the Class of 2024 at the iconic Shree Shanmukhananda Hall. The event marked a significant milestone for 1,505 graduating students, including 178 medal recipients and 32 doctoral awardees, symbolising the culmination of years of dedication, perseverance, and intellectual pursuit.
The convocation honoured outstanding achievements across academics, research, entrepreneurship, and community service. Among the most prestigious recognitions were the Best All-Round Student Trophies, alongside the conferral of 34 Gold, 35 Silver, and 15 Bronze medals. Additionally, meritorious students received the Shri Baljit Shastri Award and the Dr. K. Ashok Chauhan Scholarship for their exceptional commitment to excellence and values.
Elevating the significance of the occasion, the university conferred Honorary Doctorate degrees upon three eminent personalities for their remarkable contributions in their respective fields:
- Mr. Nand Khemka, Chairman, SUN Group
- Mr. Romal Shetty, CEO, Deloitte
- Mr. Yann Leroy, International Architect
Each honorary award acknowledged the recipient’s leadership, innovation, and societal impact, reinforcing Amity’s emphasis on real-world inspiration and global benchmarks.
