Amity University Mumbai Organizes 1 Week Faculty Development Program On Cyber Security Awareness

 Computer Science & Engineering department of Amity School of Engineering & Technology, Amity University Mumbai conducted a 5-day Faculty Development Program on “Cyber Security Awareness”. During this 5-day FDP, 5 sessions were conducted on different aspects of Cyber Security. The sessions were very informative for all participants. Response of participants were encouraging for speakers.

 
Brief detail about the topic discussed during the sessions:
This Faculty Development program focused to exchange experiences and expertise on cyber security awareness by having expertise from Industry and academics. FDP focussed on the most challenging contemporary issues in cybersecurity (cyber threat, cyber incidents, cyber threat sharing, cyber technology evolution, Authentication protocol and security related issues, Social network security issues and solutions, Awareness of Cybercrimes, Cyber Hygiene, Cyber Laws in India and the Role of Digital Forensics. The hands-on session part was related to Use of various tools in Cyber Security. Each session was extended to the discussion to address the practical evaluation of security tools and techniques, data forensics, and implementation of cryptography primitives and protocols. After each session, a breakout session was conducted where key topics from the current session were addressed with participants helping identify recent trends and research gaps.
