Amity University Mumbai Celebrated Language Day Festival

 Amity School of Languages, Mumbai organized the Language festival to commemorate the birth anniversary of well-known Literary figure William Shakespeare and the birthday of Dr Atul Chauhan sir, Hon’ble Chancellor, AUUP and President RBEF, as a Day of Belongingness. A plethora of activities conducted to celebrate these two occasions like Quiz Contest, Blackout Poetry, Story Writing, Poetry Recitation, Just a Minute, Poster Making, Dancing, and Singing and Skits in English, French Spanish and German languages. The Purpose of the event was to enhance and highlight the hidden talent of the students and to provide them a platform to flourish their language and other skills. Event saw overwhelming response from the participants. 

The festival was inaugurated by Hon. Dr. A. W. Santosh Kumar, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Amity University Mumbai addressed to the students. In his short addressed he stressed that the students should use this platform to enhance and showcase their intuitive skills. It was attended by Dr. Shrikant Charhate, Dean Academics - Amity University Mumbai, Professor & Director Amity School of Engineering & Technology, Prof (Dr) Bhawana Chanana, Director, Outcome AUM and School of Fashion Design & Technology Amity University Mumbai. 
The event also witnessed a Webinar on International Certification for Opportunities and Career Advancements in Foreign Languages. Dr Jayawardhan Singh Rathore, Assistant Professor from Manipal University Jaipur, Mrs. Anuja Kolhatkar, Assistant Professor, Mumbai University, Mohan Raut, were the resource persons for the Webinar. It was attended by 300 students from Amity campus Mumbai.  
The school arranged movie trip on 7th May 2022 to KoparKhairane at Balaji multiplex to watch ‘DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS’. The main objective of this movie trip was to develop the sense of team building and team motivation amongst students. This movie trip was productive for understanding the connect between film and literature. The students enjoyed the movie and the bond between students and teacher strengthened as a team and as a family.
Dr Manjiree Vaidya, Head of The Institution, Amity School of Languages stated, ’Language is a means to bridge the minds of people and to bring them together. School of languages always strives to be a binding vine across all the schools in AUM. This Language Fest certainly created a sense of belongingness among students of AUM.’’
