A Plantation Drive by ASEES on 19 July 2024
Amity School of Earth & Environment Sciences (ASSES) and the Horticulture Department (ACMP & TK) organised a plantation drive on 19 July 2024. By planting native saplings, the event sought to combat deforestation, one of the major contributors to climate change, and emphasize the role of trees in stabilizing the environment.
The aim of the Plantation Drive was to raise awareness about environmental sustainability and the importance of preserving native vegetation. This event aligned with AUH's ongoing commitment to promoting sustainable practices and educating students, faculty, and staff about the critical role of land management in mitigating the effects of climate change.
The Plantation Drive at AUH successfully fulfilled its objective of promoting environmental awareness and sustainability. The planting of native saplings highlighted the university's dedication to ecological preservation and its efforts to combat climate change through the adoption of sustainable practices.
