The Public Speaking Contest was organised by YUVA on 21st August 2026. Fostering Respect and Unity to End Ragging” theme, participants strengthened their communication, presentation, critical thinking, and leadership skills while developing greater sensitivity towards the psychological and social impact of ragging.
The aim of the anti-ragging oratory event was to create awareness among students about the harmful psychological and social effects of ragging and to promote a campus culture based on respect, unity, empathy, and mutual support. The event also sought to provide students with a platform to express their views through structured oratory rounds while developing their speech-writing, articulation, critical thinking, public speaking, leadership, and emotional intelligence skills.
The event successfully engaged students in meaningful dialogue on the importance of preventing ragging and fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive academic environment. Through structured oratory rounds and the “Breaking the Cycle: The event also encouraged students to become responsible advocates for respect and unity within the institution and the wider community.
