The Amity Institute of Pharmacy, Amity University Madhya Pradesh, Gwalior, celebrated World Pharmacists Day 2026 on 25th September with the global theme “Empowering Pharmacists for Healthier Futures.” The program began with a welcome address by Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kumar Mishra, Director, AIP, followed by a keynote lecture from Dr. Awesh K. Yadav, NIPER Raebareli, Lucknow (U.P.), which provided students with valuable academic and professional insights. The session concluded with remarks by Prof. (Dr.) Mukesh Singh Sikarwar, Deputy Director, AIP, who emphasized continuous learning, research, innovation, and professional excellence as key pillars for future‑ready pharmacists.
To mark the occasion, two theme‑based competitions —Notice Board Decoration and Rangoli —were organized with enthusiastic student participation. In the Notice Board Decoration competition, First Prize was awarded to Mohit Sahu, Jaya Devi, Arushi Singh, and Gayatri Rana (B Pharm 2nd Year – 3rd Sem), Second Prize to Chhaya Chauhan, Ritu, and Kumari Anchal (B Pharm 2nd Year – 3rd Sem), and Third Prize to Yashika Sharma, Vishakha Sharma, and Gouri Sikarwar (B Pharm 2nd Year – 3rd Sem). In the Rangoli competition, the First Prize again went to Mohit Sahu, Jaya Devi, Arushi Singh, and Gayatri Rana (B Pharm 2nd Year – 3rd Sem), while the Second Prize was secured by Anuj Kumar, Apurvi Mishra, and Divya Yadav (M Pharm 2nd Year – Pharmaceutics). The winners were honoured with prizes recognizing their creativity and commitment to the profession.
The event was successfully coordinated by Dr. Ramakant Joshi, Dr. Sarita Sharma, and Dr. Neeraj Kumar Shrivastav, under the convenorship of Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kumar Mishra, Director, AIP, and co‑convenorship of Prof. (Dr.) Mukesh Singh Sikarwar, Deputy Director, AIP. The celebration concluded with appreciation for all participants, reaffirming the Institute’s dedication to fostering professional excellence and empowering future pharmacists for healthier communities.
