The event started with the arrival and welcome of guest by Mr. SS Bhal, DSW & CL. Followed by the address of Dr. Hansa Choudhary who reflected on the deeper appreciation of Gandhi’s ashrams as “living laboratories” that translated his ideals of truth, non-violence, equality, and self-reliance into daily practice. Attendees gained insight into how these ashrams functioned as centers for social reform, moral discipline, and community living, linking personal ethics with collective action. The session highlighted the continuing relevance of Gandhian values in addressing modern challenges of sustainability, social harmony, and inclusivity, inspiring participants to reflect on ways these principles can be meaningfully applied in contemporary education, society, and personal life.
Her address was followed by a question & Answer session in which students raised meaningful queries. The event ended with a vote of thanks from Dr. Neha Bhartiya. The event was graced by all the faculty members of ASLA department.
