Amity Institute of Pharmacy, Amity University Madhya Pradesh organized community outreach programme under the leadership of Dr S Mohana Lakshmi (Director AIP) in association with NGO Ek Kadam Vika Ki Aur Welfare Society under IIC driven activity. The community outreach programme was held at Berja Village, Government Hospital, Morar, (Gwalior) dated on 07 May 2022 (Saturday).
Dr. Naveen Sharma initiated the program by greeting the dignitaries and briefed the villagers about causes and symptoms of malnutrition. He emphasizes the importance of handling the malnutrition specially in women and children. He strongly appealed the villagers to keep healthy life by taking nutritious food. In this program oral rehydration salt (ORS) powder, fruits and biscuits were distributed by the faculty members and the students.
Dr. Anil Sharma (Medical officer) also gave brief information about the treatment of malnutrition at home as well as by the doctors in emergency. As a part of prevention measure, he asserted the villagers to include fruits, vegetables, dairy products in diet. This program was successfully coordinated by Dr Naveen Sharma and Dr Jovita Kanoujia. Twenty students from first, second, third and fourth year of B.Pharm were actively participated as volunteer. This community program was served to provide awareness about the healthy lifestyle practices in public domain.
