Amity Institute of Pharmacy, AUMP organized a “Hands on Training Workshop on Brookfield Rheometer on20.07.2022 from 3:00 to 4:00 pm. The training was initiated by Mr. Suresh Sharma, Service Engineer, Brookfield, India. He has given an overview of the Rheometer (LVDV-Next) by showing various accessories which include spindles, temperature probes etc. He has also shown the digital levelling of the Rheometer. Different operations such as selection of spindle and fixing of the spindle were shown to participants. Mr. Sharma has details about measurement, generation of the graph, report generation and setting of the parameters in the instrument. Moreover, he also explained about troubleshooting common rheometer issues and basic preventative maintenance.
The faculty members and non-teaching of AIP have participated in the workshop enthusiastically. The workshop was attended by 17 faculty members and 5 non-teaching staff. The session provides a comprehensive understanding of the viscosity measurement using different parameters such as RPM, shear stress, torque, and temperature including a hands-on session on how to set up, operate, and clean a rheometer. The program was organized by the Department of Pharmaceutics. This programme was successfully planned and organized with the coordination of Dr. S. Mohana Lakshmi, Director, AIP, AUMP.
