The Amity Institute of Pharmacy, Amity University Madhya Pradesh, Gwalior conducted an Online Guest Lecture on Startup: From “Idea to Execution” (Under MoU Activity) on 2nd May 2025. The program was aligned with Sustainability Development Goal-9 (Industry, Infrastructure and Innovation) and supported by Institution’s Innovative Council.
Aim of the Programme:
1. To introduce students to the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and the startup ecosystem.
2. To explain the step-by-step process involved in converting a business idea into a viable startup.
3. To share real-world experiences, challenges, and success stories from a seasoned entrepreneur.
Objectives of the Programme
1. To highlight the importance of innovation, market research, funding, and team building in startup development.
2. To encourage students to think creatively, take calculated risks, and pursue entrepreneurial ventures.
3. To provide a platform for students to interact with a startup founder and clarify their doubts regarding startup initiation and growth.
The Online Guest Lecture titled “Startup: From Idea to Execution” was a highly anticipated and well-attended event, drawing enthusiastic participation from B. Pharm 6th and 8th semester students and faculty members of the Amity Institute of Pharmacy (AIP), Amity University Madhya Pradesh.
Meticulously organized under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kumar Mishra, Director, AIP, the session aimed to shed light on the multifaceted opportunities within the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare sector. It focused on key areas such as starting a pharmacy business, innovation in drug development, pharma startups, startup schemes, incubation canters, and financial support mechanisms available to budding entrepreneurs.
The program, designed to support the Institution Innovation Council, was also aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 9, focusing on Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure. The highlight of the session was the address by the esteemed guest speaker, Dr. (Inv.) Shivakiran S. Makam, Chief Academics & Innovation Officer at Healthcare Global (HCG) Enterprises Ltd., Bengaluru. Dr. Makam provided valuable insights into the journey of a startup — from ideation to execution — contextualized to the current market scenario, offering practical knowledge and strategic advice for aspiring entrepreneurs in the pharmaceutical and healthcare domains.
