Amity School of Communication organized a guest lecture on “Exploring Opportunities in the Field of Business Journalism”on 10^th April 2019. The guest speaker of the event was Mr Shishir Sinha, Senior Deputy Editor, The Hindu Business Line. Mr Sinha is an alumnus of BHU, Banaras and Patna College. He has an experience of more than two decades in the media industry and also worked with PTI, CNBC and TV Today.

Mr Shishir Sinha in his lecture talked about the business journalism which cover the topic of GDP growth and election manifesto. He also talked about the how advertising works and what are its pros and cons.

One should never directly say when asked I know everything rather concentrate on what is his/her alma mater is he added.

There was an interaction session between students and the speaker. He also gave numerous insights of media industry.
