A national workshop on conversational Sanskrit was organized by Amity School of Liberal Arts on 15^th April 2019. Prof Pankaj Kumar Mishra of St. Stephen,s College Delhi was the chief resource person in the workshop.

Prof. Pankaj Kumar Mishra while delivering his illuminating speech emphasized that Sanskrit should not be considered only as a religious subject. Sanskrit as a language is highly scientific and is a reservoir of knowledge. Modern and pragmatic view of Sanskrit would definitely be helpful in scientific development. He tried to explain that Sanskrit language isn’t as difficult as it seems. Prof.Sanjay Kumar Jha, Director, ASLA highlighted upon the vastness and importance of Sanskrit.
