They spoke on how to prepare the world after the COVID-19 pandemic, tourism players in Bali, Indonesia are planning relevant strategies to adapt to the “new normal,” wherein health and hygiene would play a key role in attracting tourists. 

At this time Bali is planning to build and restore the trust of the global market. The way to achieve this is by preparing health facilities, improving hygiene, and security protocol in each & every tourist location & spot.

In the new normal era, marketing will not only be focused on natural beauty destinations, but also places that are decent to visit. Hotels and tourist attractions that fulfilll health, sanitation & safety criteria will be issued certifications in order to provide guarantee to visitors & tourists in coming times ahead.

The government is evaluating the condition from time to time. At present, large scale social distancing has been applied. Thus, the condition is still a concern for now. The state of tourism is under emergency response stage until June 2020 & is continuously being monitored by the Indonesian Task Force since March 2020. If the condition improves, it will be followed by a recovery period from July to December 2020. The normalisation period is projected to start early next year 2021. The situation is being closely monitored and will be adjusted and updated accordingly. Visa policy including Visa on Arrival (VoA) for Indians will be updated and informed by the Government of Indonesia when the borders reopen for foreign visitors & tourists.

The students got to know about the current status of Bali during covid-19 phase & various measures taken-up by Indonesian Government to revive Bali again as the safest & preferred tourist destination in post covid-19 period. Also, students got the excellent chance to enrich themselves about Bali’s culture, food, tourist spots, beaches, hotels etc.
