On September 15, 16 and 17th, 2019 Amity College of Nursing participated in Intensified Pulse Polio Programme. Pulse polio is an immunization campaign established by the governement of india to eliminate poilomyelitis in india by vaccinating all children under the age of five years against the polio virus. The students participated in both booth activity and Home to Home activity. Our students were posted to urban areas of gurgaon city in 37 different booths. The Nursing students are the key providers of both preventive and curative services in the community. The students gained knowledge on its storage and its usability Vaccine Vial Monitor (VVM Method),indications and role and responsibilities of health Personnel while administering polio drops. Nodal officer and Coordinators on Intensified Pulse polio programme were appreciated our students work and support.
