Amity University Haryana Debating club Hunkaar collaborated with Girl Up Faridabad, Shakti, Saakar for a fruitful discussion on Instagram Live on 16 February 2021 at 6:00 PM on the topic ‘Obliterating Gender Stereotypes’ with special focus on various other sub topics under the same umbrella topic.
The sub topics were: Body Shaming in the age of social media, Inadequate maternal and infant healthcare, Women in Workplace, Taboo free Menstruation.
The influence of women’s empowerment rests in its capacity to bring in gender equity and improve the gap between men and women. This revolution has helped to bring steadiness in a community. It allows women to engage in activities in the public sphere. Keeping in the spirit of “obliterating gender stereotypes”, it gave Team Hunkaar an immense pleasure to have our very first collaboration.
The speakers for the live addressed all the issues in detail and gave their insight on the concerned topics.

It was an illuminating session which helped highlight women's issues which had been neglected due to covid.
