Student Activity - AMS 24X7 Presents Singing Competition Organised by Amity Medical School on 12th December 2022

Amity Medical School organized a Singing Competition under the initiative of AUH 24x7 student activity programme on 12th December 2022. The program's chief guest, Shree Milan Kumar, a teacher at Bal Bharati High School, is well recognised for his mastery on a variety of musical instruments. He received Veena vadak instruction from Janak Grammy-winning Padma Bhushan Pandit Mohan Bhatt, who is also a world-renowned Padma Bhushan Pandit. Sangeet Parampara Samman also presented the chief guest Shree Milan Kumar with an award. The opposing judge was Dr. Sayantan Chakraborty, an assistant professor of MPH at Amity University Haryana. He is an expert guitarist and singer in addition to being a Doctor of BHMS. He performs as the primary leader vocalist in his own singing group in Kolkata.

This activity was organised and prepared to encourage the children to connect with one another in a positive way, to develop their leadership skills, and to provide a stage on which they could express themselves creatively. It was an entirely student-run, enjoyable exercise in which students not only took part in the tournament but also actively engaged by hosting the stage, anchoring, and supporting the contestants and audience. Mr. M S Dawngzala (BA LLB) won the competition, while Ms. Almina (M.Sc. CP) and Mr. Mann Verma (B. Tech., AIML) ranked first and second, respectively.

It was a great evening of entertainment where students encouraged their friends to participate and then found themselves revitalised by the rocking singers' performance.
