Amity College of Commerce, Amity University Gurugram organised a student training program with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK on 22nd August, 2023. Mr. Shiv Swaroop Jha, HOD, ACC was the coordinator of the program. The aim of the program was to introduce students to the ACCA qualification, its global recognition, and the benefits it offers in terms of career opportunities and professional growth.
Mr. Vikas Khosla and Mr. Siddhant Chandel were present as the expert speakers, who provided insights into current industry trends, real-world challenges and the best practices in the field. This programme included sessions on career opportunities in the field of accounting, including different industries and roles that ACCA qualification can open up for the students. Additionally, the program provided an insight to the students about the core competencies covered in the ACCA syllabus, including financial reporting, audit and assurance, taxation, management accounting, ethics, and much more. A total of 63 students and 2 faculty members participated in the event.
In conclusion, the student training program demonstrated knowledge about the different career paths within finance and accounting, industry trends and examination techniques, including tips, and strategies to succeed in ACCA assessments.
Thus, the primary objective of the event to educate students about structure and evaluation process was achieved, along with providing skill development lessons.
