Amity School of Hospitality, Amity University Gurugram in collaboration with Internal Quality Assurance Cell organised a workshop on Role of Quality Control in Food Service Chain, on 3rd November, 2023. The event was coordinated by Dr. Vinod Kumar Chauhan and Mr. Subrata Pal.
The event aimed to educate ASH students about the critical role of quality control in maintaining standards of safety, taste, and consistency throughout the food service chain. Dr. Sunita Sharma, the Deputy Director of IQAC, emphasized on the quality control processes, starting from ingredient selection, production, food preparation, storage, service, customer feedback and compliance with regulations. A total of 9 students and 4 faculty members participated in the event.
In conclusion, the workshop provided valuable insights for the students, offering a comprehensive understanding of food production practices in the hospitality industry. The event successfully achieved its objectives by educating students on the significance of quality control in the entire food service chain.
