An Industrial visit was organised by CRC in collaboration with AIB on 19th August 2025. Students gained valuable insights into sustainable practices, international standards of product development, and the company’s efforts to reduce plastic usage.
The industrial visit aimed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world practices by providing students with practical exposure to the operations of an international biotechnology company. It also sought to familiarize students with probiotics production, quality control protocols, innovative methodologies, and sustainable practices adopted by Yakult Danone to maintain global standards and promote human health.
The visit successfully offered students a comprehensive understanding of biotechnology applications in the food industry, particularly in probiotics production and quality assurance. Their queries were addressed effectively, which enhanced their practical knowledge and motivated them to consider career opportunities in the food and biotechnology sectors.
