Janmashtami Singing Competition by ASLA on 29th August 2025.
Janmashtami Singing Competition was organised by ASLA on 29th August 2025. It ultimately served as a reminder of the richness of Indian cultural heritage and its relevance in modern life.
The aim of the Janmashtami Singing Competition was to celebrate the birth of Lord Krishna through music, devotion, and cultural expression, while fostering a spirit of inclusivity, unity, and cultural pride among students. The event intended to provide a creative platform for showcasing musical talent in devotional and folk genres, while also highlighting the importance of preserving traditional music and integrating Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) into contemporary academic spaces.
The event concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation from students, who showcased their talents through soulful devotional and folk performances. The addresses by the Chief Organiser and coordinators further motivated students to value cultural traditions and express devotion through art. The competition not only honoured the spiritual significance of Janmashtami but also strengthened a sense of togetherness and inclusivity within the campus community
