The workshop began with the speaker introducing Big Data and Analytics as individual terms and the correlation between them. Later the speaker also introduced terms like Data Warehouses, Data Mining and their role in Big Data Analytics. The need for Big Data in the present industry was discussed. The lecture was focused on introducing Big Data Analytics, its basic concepts and the tools used in the industry for the same to the students. The main objective was to teach the students the basic concepts in Big Data Analysis and familiarize the students with tools like Apache Flume, Sqoop that are currently being used in the Big Data industry, which would further motivate them into exploring different Data Science paradigms based on Big Data. He has also explained the touch less and touch screen technology and touch wall. Touch wall consists of three infrared lasers that scan a surface and brief introduction about touch less UI and monitors and its working.
