Merrica Rajesh, Student from Bachelor of Architecture in her final year Project, has designed a Floating township. Architects, urban planners & Engineers have used Floating Architecture to address the problem of providing greater space and energy resources for people while also addressing the impact of human civilization on the environment and natural resources. Building these floating structures has the potential to revolutionize the way we think about design and urban planning in the future, as well as have a significant environmental impact by reducing land exploitation. When compared to the preconception of just constructing on land and present conservative construction standards, floating buildings and towns on water are already a new paradigm. This may be the only option for modern civilization to deal with expanding People and changing climates in the future. What is evident to us is that optimism exists, and idealistic dreams of a sustainable city will continue to exist.
