Students from Mechanical Engineering department (2014-2018 batch) Tanuj Banerjee, Suraj Mhatre, Suraj Patil and Amit Khedekar made an Electric Skateboard. The difference between the existing skateboard and electrical skateboard is that it has a brushless motor on its back wheels. This motor can be controlled by the rider on the skateboard. Electrical skateboard weighs around 10kg, making it a portable option compared to the electric bike. Riders can save their energy by using this skateboard to cover long distance. The rear wheel of the skateboard is replaced by the brushless motor perfectly aligned with each other, mounted on a self-made bracket of mild steel. A rechargeable Lithium-ion battery was fixed under the board for power.
