Desserts prepared by Chef Subir Malakar during the workshop
The workshop was a part of the ongoing series on Live Culinary Workshops organized by Amity Skills Institute, AUH. The resource person for this workshop was Chef Subir Malakar, Assistant Professor, Amity School of Hospitality.
The workshop was aimed at the professionals working from home with newfound instead in cooking, baking and experimenting in the kitchen given the limitations in the availability of domestic help in these testing times due to the pandemic.
The chef started by thanking Amity Skills institute and Amity School of Hospitality for the chance to conduct this workshop. Without much ado, he moved on to the ingredients needed for the recipe.
He explained all the intricacies involved while sourcing or preparing the raw materials. He even pointed out the scientific reasons behind picking a certain ingredient or the process for the recipe. He pointed out substitutes of the ingredients wherever there was an option.
