An international seminar on "Russian Literature in Today's World" with the primary focus of an interactive session with Russian native writers was organised on February 22, 2023 by the Amity School of Languages in association with the Russian Federation Embassy in India and the Russian Union of Writers. The session's invited keynote speakers were Mr. Ilya L. Vinogradov, a poet, writer, and translator, and Ms. Anna Kharlanova, a poet and writer, both from the Russian Union of Writers.

The English translation of Rabindranath Tagore's Bangla poetry, "The Other Geetanjali," was presented to the visitors by Prof. U.N. Singh. The discussion on Russian literature was thorough. Ms. Anna presented a quick overview of two novels before introducing them. She read a few of her poetry aloud to the crowd. Ilya L. Vinogradov discussed his cultural encounters in India as well as the relationship between Russia and India. He gave a succinct description of Murmansk Arctic University and played a quick video of Murmansk City. A few lines from Mr. Ilya's poetry book, "Hastinapur," were also recited. A round of questions and answers followed the presentation. The visitors gave the ASL Russian section some of their books.
