An Educational Visit to Geol Sahab ki Haveli, New Delhi was organised by Amity School of Architecture and Planning on February 3, 2025. The study focused on observing the ongoing preservation efforts that aimed to protect these architectural marvels as part of Delhi’s cultural heritage
The study aimed to explore the traditional Indian haveli architecture, which blended Mughal, Rajput, and colonial styles. It sought to understand the cultural significance of havelis as spaces for social gatherings, intellectual meetings, and political discussions.
The study successfully highlighted the architectural grandeur and cultural importance of havelis. It provided valuable insights into how these structures once served as vibrant centers of social and intellectual activity. The intricate designs, symmetrical layouts, and use of indigenous materials reflected the artistic excellence of the era.
