A Faculty Development Program was organised by Department of Mathematics Amity School of Applied Sciences from 14^th -18^th July 2025. The program introduced essential digital tools such as LaTeX for creating precise and professional mathematical documents and GeoGebra for interactive visualization of complex mathematical concept

Anchored in the Sustainable Development Goals—Quality Education (SDG 4), Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11), and Climate Action (SDG 13), the program emphasized the significance of mathematical modelling as a critical approach to solving real-world problems and fostering analytical thinking among students. The FDP highlighted the role of modelling in diverse applications such as weather forecasting, geohazard assessment for predicting landslides and earthquakes, and risk analysis for informing mitigation strategies.

Faculty members gained valuable exposure to mathematical modelling as a versatile tool for addressing real-world challenges, while also enhancing their proficiency in LaTeX and GeoGebra to strengthen their teaching practices. The FDP fostered collaboration, inclusivity, and knowledge-sharing among educators, enabling them to design accessible and engaging learning environments for students.
