On September 16, the Department of Dietetics and Applied Nutrition (DAN), Amity Medical School (AMS), organized a Visit of Delegate. The event featured two pioneering companies—Eat Atlas from Gurugram and Melwach LLP from New Delhi—recognized for their innovative and sustainable approaches to healthy snacking.
The event aimed to promote nutrition awareness, foster technology transfer, and highlight the crucial role of intellectual property rights in driving food innovation. It sought to encourage collaboration between academia and industry, expose students and faculty to cutting-edge practices in sustainable food production, and align with SDG-9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure.
The visit concluded with participants gaining valuable insights into novel, nutritious snack innovations and the importance of IPR in protecting such advancements. The interaction with Ms. Ishita Gupta (Founder, Eat Atlas) and Ms. Anita (Melwach LLP) broadened students’ perspectives on entrepreneurship, sustainability, and the application of traditional grains in modern diets.
