Amity Business School organised the Ad-Mad Show Competition for Management Students on April 18, 2023.
AD MAD SHOW is an ‘Advertisement Making Competition’ to showcase creativity in marketing products and services. The event is an opportunity to bring out the individual and collective talent of the students participating in it. It comprises humorous and conceptual presentations by the students. In this event, participants will have to produce an advertisement for a product or service in a proper way that is quite appealing to the audience. Students will act out various amusing, attention-grabbing, and conceptual advertisement scripts and ideas relevant for different sectors, including FMCG products, luxury goods and services, automobiles, social awareness, etc.
The main objective of the event was to bring out the creative expression of students and to acquaint them with promotional strategies in marketing through advertisements.
The ADMAD Show started with the introductory speech about the competition and welcoming our judges, Dr. Ritu Sharma, Dr. Faraz, and Dr. Jomit, for the judgement of ADs prepared by the students.
Each team consists of a maximum of 2–5 members, and participants present an advertisement for a product or service of their choice. The maximum time allowed to present your prepared ad will be 3 minutes.
The ad prepared by the contestant consisted of product branding, a tagline, features of the product, a marketing strategy, the appeal of the advertisement, the storytelling aspect, the use of props, and a way of conveying the information about the product.
Students played the ads in front of judges, which were very innovative, creative, and full of expression.
The final judgement was made by our two judges: Dr. Ritu Sharma, Dr. Faraz, and Dr. Jomit.
The 1st position was held by Team-3: Gourav, Harsh, and Karan, and the 2nd position was held by Team-6: Aaniya and Parizat Priya.
