Amity School of Engineering and Technology organized a Faculty Development Programme on Recent Advancements, Innovations, and Future Trends in Emerging Technologies and Their Impact on Higher Education held between July 17th and July 21st, 2023.

The guest of honor, Prof. Kushal Sen from IIT Delhi, talked about the impact of technology on higher education and its growth. He emphasized the need for teachers to be abreast of technology. Dr. Ravi Datta from Amity University highlighted the application and advantages of AI in healthcare. Dr. Mani Madhukar from IBM India made the session engaging and demonstrated AutoAI for model building and deployment. On the same day, Dr. Richa Singh from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, deliberated on an information filtering approach. She discussed the general model of recommendation systems and their evaluation metrics. Dr. Ranjana Arora from Amity University presented the application and importance of multi-objective optimization in Engineering and technology. Day 3 of the FDP witnessed a vibrant exchange of ideas and insightful presentations on data science in the digital era, Robotic Process Automation, and voice-enabled communication by speakers Dr. Alok Srivastava from L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, and Dr. Sunil Sikka, Dr. Shweta Sinha, and Mr. Akshat Agrawal from Amity University, Haryana. On day four, TedX speaker Dr. Amit Dua from BITS Pilani presented aspects of stablecoins and blockchain. Dr. Anuj Kumar Singh From Adani University talked about cybersecurity and blockchain Integration. Then, on the same day, Dr. Amit Tyagi from NIFT Delhi flawlessly talked about the current trends in Blockchain and the application areas where Blockchain finds its place in the present time. Today, the fifth day of the FDP focused on security, and Prof. Manju Khari from JNU discussed security in the Internet of Things. In the last session, Dr. Khushboo Tripathi from Amity University and Dr. Abhishek Jain from Wipro Technologies discussed cyber security and ways to handle frauds and cybercrimes prevalent in societies.

A total of 8 students and 24 faculty members attended the program.
