ACOAST organised a series of expert lectures on “Environment and Health,” from 16th to 22nd September 2024. Through expert lectures and hands-on lab experiences, the event aimed to enhance students' understanding of critical environmental issues while fostering engagement with innovative research techniques and practical applications in air and water quality monitoring.
The aim of the event was to raise awareness about air pollution, climate change, and the importance of environmental protection. The event sought to educate students about the impact of pollutants, such as tropospheric ozone, and the broader implications of climate change caused by human activities.
The event successfully achieved its objectives, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of air pollution, ozone layer protection, and the mechanisms behind climate change. The hands-on experience in the water analysis laboratory gave students practical skills in evaluating water quality. The event not only deepened students' knowledge of environmental science but also encouraged their active participation in addressing global environmental challenges.
